427 SOHC Cammer engine, single 4V, 4 speed. Professionally installed frame off restoration on an unbelievably rust free Arizona convertible. Fully documented with original build sheet. Magazine article etc. Correct Candyapple red, 4 speed, 7 litre with burgundy and red crinkle vinyl interior. Completely new interior installed. Complete dash restoration, pad cluster cover dash bezel, etc. A head turner wherever you go. This is a very unique piece of Ford history. Approximately only 500 Cammer engines were built in the mid 60's. Very few are known to exist in street cars. It's known as the only 1966, 7 Litre convertible powered by a Cammer 427. |

This car was for sale in the Worcester Massachusetts area in 2007. 98,748 documented miles at that time. It reportedly had some rust issues in the doors, quarters, and trunk. Not horrible for a 40 year old car in the northeast. It left the Mahwah N.J. plant with an exterior of Tahoe Turquoise and a Light Aqua interior. |

Car was first sold to Bernice Higgins and Ray Hansen in Omaha Nebraska June 27, 1966 (I have the original manual/service book). I bought it two years ago in Tustin California where I still live. The woman I bought it from told me her father had left it to her (no further details). The odometer reads +/- 37,000. The documentation is limited, but based on condition it is possible that is the true mileage. It has power top and brakes, but no a/c or pw. I have made a few engine upgrades, but I retained all original parts. It now has an Edelbrock cam and intake along with headers. I had a 4 core radiator made and installed an electric fan. She’s a driver and runs terrific.

This car was owned by Tom Dalton of Wallaceburg Ontario. It was built in Chicago for the "B1" Ontario market. It was sold new to someone in Wallaceburg Ontario. About 1968 or so, Tom Dalton bought the car from the original owner. Tom owned it until 2005 or so. He was always going to restore this car to new condition but age and health caught up to him. Doctors pulled his drivers license (he was in his eighties) and he ended up selling the car to a gentleman just west of London Ontario. The car went up on the auction block at the R. M. Auction in Toronto in early April. It was bought by John Scotti of Montreal. This car does have many options on it including power windows, power door locks power seat am/fm radio safety light package, reclining passenger seat. |

Very rare car. Only 429 of the 7 litres made were convertibles with a 4speed. Car appears to be very solid. Done in original colors and sporting original interior. |

I ordered it in the fall of '65 and took delivery in December of '65. I get a kick out of reading about you guys out driving and having fun with their cars. Anyway, all you guys put together haven't had near the fun that I've had with mine, I'm sure. I got married and my wife and took our honeymoon in it. I just loved that car and couldn't trade it, so I still have it and the same wife. It got to be my everyday car then I put it in storage for a few years. On the 25th anniversary of the 7-Litre we went to a suburb of Milwaukee to an all Ford show. I heard there was a 7-Litre there. I still take it out and drive it a few times a year. Every thing is still original, except the top. I've had to replace that a few times. The only options I have on it is power windows. I wanted another four speed, but I wanted the 8-track tape instead. (I drove better, but not slower with my 7-Litre). |

Here is a picture of Milt Chesterman's 7 Litre convertible. According to Milt, this picture was taken at Carlisle around 2003 or so. The 7-Litre to the left of the picture is Dave Atkins old car that is now owned by Ron Barnhardt. Milt also tells us that he has owned this car for about 30 years now.Options include Factory A/C, P/W, AM/FM Radio, Console mounted Rotunda tachometer, Twin rear deck antennas, Front and rear bumperettes, and an 8-Track Tape player (though it is not still in the car). Originally Silver Frost with Red Interior, it now sports a Candy Apple exterior. 66,638 original miles as of January,2009. |
