1 of only 58 67 XL's with 7-Litre option and 4 speed transmission. 6 are known to still exist. Car has A/C, Power brakes & Power Steering. We are the fourth owners of this car. We purchased the car in March, 2000, from a gentleman in Arkansas. It was a driver, but needed a considerable amount of work to make it road worthy for long trips and cosmetically appealing to the eye. We were fortunate to be able to talk to the son of the original owner and he supplied us with copies of the sales orders for the purchase and also when the car was traded in.It will be a never ending project with us. The car has been shown in local shows along the West Coast and has taken awards in its class. |

Dave bought this car in the mid 80's. Someone had replaced the 428 with a 429. Lower 1/4's were replaced. It was painted, and got a new top. Drove it till the early 90's when a heavy snow ripped the lower back window from the top. It has been parked ever since. Shortly after buying the car, the owner bought a 66 galaxie 7-Litre car from a junkyard pulled the motor and sold the rest. The 428 motor has been in pieces and stored inside an old van. On a scale of 1-6, with 1 being perfect, Dave would rate this a condition 4. Car still has the 429 in it. Picture taken around 1990. |

This is a very rare 1967 XL Galaxie 7 Liter 4 Speed convertible. Carwas purchased about 18 months ago with the intention of restoring it. However, he has a 63 R code Galaxie being restored that is costing a bit more than I anticipated. The car needs a body off restoration. This car needs work, but it is restorable. The car is being stored in Texas outside Dallas.

Phyliss' husband Larry ordered this car from Brown's Ford in Boscobel WI. It has; 4spd,power windows,remote trunk release, AM 8 track and 2:75 rear end. It has around 60,000 original miles on it. The car was ordered without P/S, but it was put on in 2000 so Phyliss could drive it( but never does). At this time the front seats were recovered, a new top, paint, and engine rebuild were done. There were a total of 255 XL 2-door convertibles with the 7-Litre Sports Package built during the 1967 model year. Of these, only 58 had the 428-4V/4-speed powertrain. There are presently 27 XL 2-door convertibles with the 7-Litre Sports Package in the Registry, 13 of which have the 428-4V/4-speed powertrain, and 2 of which have COLOR code A and TRIM code RU.
